Hula Classes
From Beginners to Masters: Hula for Everyone
Ages 3-8
Pua Melia
Saturdays 12:15pm-1:15pm
Pua Melia haumana (students) learn the basics of hula ʻauana with all variations of implements (i.e. ʻuliʻuli, puʻili, ipu, etc.) and tahitian. Haumana will also be introduced to ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi & the culture of Hawaiʻi.
Haumana have a minimum of 2 performances a year for the general public & occasional showcases.
$55 per month
60 minutes, 1 day per week
Ages 18-103
Lokelani
Thursdays 8:15-9:15pm
Lokelani haumana are beginners to hula. Learn the basics in hula ʻauana & hula kahiko. Haumana will also be introduced to ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi & the culture of Hawaiʻi.
Haumana have a minimum of 2 performances a year for the general public & occasional showcases.

Okika
Saturdays 1:15pm-3:15pm
Okika haumana learn the foundation of hula ʻauana, hula kahiko, maori, & tahitian. Haumana will also be introduced to ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi & the culture of Hawaiʻi. Haumana have a minimum of 2 performances a year for the general public & occasional showcases.
Many who begin in Pua Melia are moved up to Okika at age 8 to further their practice. However, haumana new to hula of the age group are welcomed!
$65 per month
120 minutes, 1 day per week
Ages 18-103
Mokihana
Tuesdays 8:15-9:15pm & Saturdays 3:15pm-4:15pm
Mokihana haumana are long-term dancers who learn more on a leisurely basis. Continue the foundation of hula ʻauana & hula kahiko, ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi & the culture of Hawaiʻi from the Lokelani Class. As well as an introduction to maori & tahitian.
Haumana have a minimum of 2 performances a year for the general public & occasional showcases.
$65 per month
60 minutes, 2 days per week
Ages 13-18
Lehua
Tuesdays and Thursdays 7:15pm-8:15pm
Lehua haumana further develop their skills in hula ʻauana & hula kahiko with all variations of implements (i.e. ʻuliʻuli, puʻili, ipu, etc.), maori and tahitian. Haumana will also be introduced to ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi & the culture of Hawaiʻi.
Haumana have a minimum of 2 performances a year for the general public & occasional showcases.

Pikake
Tuesdays & Thursdays 7:15pm-8:15pm
Pikake haumana have previous experience in hula. Expanded foundational learning in hula ʻauana & hula kahiko with all variations of implements (i.e. ʻuliʻuli, puʻili, ipu, etc.), maori and tahitian. Haumana will also be introduced to ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi & the culture of Hawaiʻi.
Haumana have a minimum of 2 performances a year for the general public & occasional showcases.

Ilima
Exclusive Class for Chosen Haumana
Ilima haumana are considered advanced & are chosen from current Hui O Kamaleinani haumana.
Ilima haumana want to further develop their skills in hula ʻauana, hula kahiko, maori and tahitian with all variations of implements; deepend their knowledge in ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi & the culture of Hawaiʻi.
Ilima Haumana have a minimum of 2 performances a year for the general public & occasional showcases.
